The Therapeutic Choice

Individual Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy, derived from the ancient teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda, focuses on the adaptation and application of yoga practice as an approach to health and healing.

The goal of Yoga Therapy is to empower individuals facing health conditions (at any level) to use the tools of Yoga to improve health and well-being. Yoga Therapy is a complementary or alternative treatment modality.

Yoga Therapist Edie Cassady's (R.Y.T.) approach is to help her clients reduce or manage the symptomatic conditions relating to the structural, physiological or mental emotional illness. The goal of yoga therapy is to improve life function by reducing the symptoms of suffering that can be reduced and managing the symptoms that cannot be reduced.

"Yoga therapy treats the whole person, seeking to change attitudes and actions that inhibit the natural healing process, and cultivate attitudes and actions that support it."

Gary Kraftsow, MA, E-RYT500, Founder & Director of the American Viniyoga Institute
